Hello,

I've got 15 years of classical piano training, and a fairly extensive knowledge of music theory. I know how to write notes on a staff, and create harmony. Now here's the problem: when I sit down in front of a computer (with the requisite equipment and software), I just can't hammer anything out longer than maybe 15-20 seconds. I've tried off and on for a couple years to get past this. It's not that I don't have any musical ideas. There's a million melodies and harmonies flowing in my brain every day. I just can't get it out and into my computer! I've got an 88-key fully weighted keyboard hooked into my computer via an M-Audio Audiophile 192 MIDI interface. Cubase SX 3 is on my system, and I've got a handful of free VSTs that'll do the job until I get the hang of this. A pair of KRK RP-6 monitors are outputting my sound. Please help me get over this mental block!! Can anyone suggest some resources or provide some tips to get me going?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
